I am sooooo excited, I can't stand it. Wicked is finally coming to SLC! I saw Wicked last summer at the beautiful Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, just down the street from the famous Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The play was INCREDIBLE. At the time I declared it my new favorite Broadway musical, but I still absolutely love Phantom and Les Mis. The costumes, the music, the staging, the talent....I could go on forever. It was all amazing.
The story is about the life of Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch) when they meet in the land of OZ as two young girls. The play is incredible and is a wonderful story. It gives so much more depth to the Wizard of Oz story. I can't say "I Love It" enough.
It will be in SLC at the Capitol Theatre from April 8, 2009 to May 3, 2009 and right now the only way to get tickets to the performance is to buy season tickets. I've added a link to the site where you can purchase season tickets. It's a must!!
